Meet Matt

Matt Henick moved to Dubuque from suburban Chicago in 2015 to attend Loras College, where he earned degrees in Accounting and Finance and minors in Management Information Systems and Business Analytics. After falling in love with the community, he chose to stay and build his life and career here.

Matt worked for seven years in corporate finance, including five years at A.Y. McDonald and two at Cartegraph (now OpenGov). Since 2019, he’s grown a successful real estate business and co-founded Premier Property Management Group, which serves Dubuque, Dyersville, and Davenport.

Matt is a proud uncle, a dedicated local business owner, and someone who believes in accountability, transparency, and teamwork. He knows what it means to invest in a community — and how important it is for government to treat residents with dignity, clarity, and respect.

Matt’s not afraid to do the work voters know needs to be done. He knows when to listen — and when to speak up.
