Why I’m Running
Dubuque Deserves Better — And We Can Build It Together
Dubuque is a great city — but we can do better.
Too many good ideas have been stalled. Too many residents feel unheard. And too often, leadership has been focused on maintaining control instead of creating opportunity. It’s time for a new mindset — one that empowers people, welcomes collaboration, and gets things done.
I’m running for City Council because I believe the people of Ward 3 deserve action, not excuses. We need leadership that listens, empowers others, and knows when to speak up. If we want real progress, we need leadership that listens, empowers others, and brings people together to get things done.

My Priorities
What I’ll Focus On
I’m not a politician — I’m a business owner, neighbor, and problem solver. Above all, you deserve leadership that’s honest, accountable, and willing to do the hard work.
To me, transparency means hearing all sides, having honest conversations, and telling the full truth — not just the parts that fit a narrative. I’m not here to manage appearances. I’m here to lead with integrity, build a culture of trust, and make sure every voice in the room is respected.
Here’s where I believe we need to focus if we want to move Dubuque forward:
- Support Public Safety — Ensure police and fire have the tools and training they need
- Protect and Improve Eagle Point Park — Preserve this gem and the rest of our city for future generations
- Create Jobs and Encourage Smart Development — Focus on sustainable growth and a vibrant local economy
- Champion Affordable, Stable Housing — Everyone deserves a safe place to call home
- Say YES to Good Ideas — Replace red tape with real solutions
- Grow Dubuque’s Population — Attract new residents and retain local talent
ENOUGH DELAYS. ENOUGH CLOSED DOORS.
We don’t need more meetings that go nowhere. We need collaboration that leads to results.
That starts with a city government that:
- Empowers staff to do their best work
- Treats residents like customers, not problems
- Partners with businesses and nonprofits — instead of blocking them
- Uses common sense and data — to make decisions that work for everyone
I believe in building a culture that’s open, forward-thinking, and fully focused on serving the public—not protecting the status quo.
